FAQ

What is Chamois Butt'r, and why do I need it?

Chamois Butt'r is like a superhero for your nether regions. It's an anti-chafe cream that you slap on your, um, delicate bits before cycling to prevent uncomfortable chafing and irritation. It's basically your ride or die for a smooth biking experience. PS. Chamois Butt’r products can be applied ANYWHERE you experience chafing discomfort or where your skin rubs against skin or clothing (i.e., armpits, nipples, thighs, bra strap area…etc.)

How does Chamois Butt'r work?

Think of it as a protective shield for your undercarriage. Chamois Butt'r creates a friction-free barrier between your skin and your bike shorts, so you can pedal away without feeling like you just had a sandpaper dance party down there. Same goes for any skin areas that experience chafing! A smooth layer of moisture barrier allows your skin to glide against skin or clothing to prevent chafing.

Is it only for hardcore cyclists or can I use it for a casual ride?

Nah, chamois cream is for everyone who hops on a bike – whether you're a patio hopping, running errands, or just cruising around the block. No discrimination here. If you're on a bike, feel discomfort, Chamois Butt'r has your backside.

Does it have a weird smell?

Nope, not at all. Chamois Butt'r is like the unscented superhero of creams. You won't be riding around smelling like a bouquet of flowers; you'll just be smelling like victory. Did you know artificial fragrance can irritate sensitive skin or pH-neutral areas like female groins? We avoid using any artificial fragrances for many reasons, but these are just a few.

Can I use chamois cream for other activities besides cycling?

Absolutely! If your thighs rub together during any activity – be it running, hiking, or even attempting an interpretive dance routine – Chamois Butt'r has got your back(side).

Is it messy? Will it stain my clothes?

Not messy at all. It goes on smooth and won't turn your favorite bike shorts into a tie-dye experiment. Just slather it on and let the magic happen. When you’re ready to toss your clothes in the wash, just let soapy water do it’s job. Chamois Butt’r will not damage your expensive technical clothing and can be washed out by hand or in your machine.

How long does Chamois Butt’r last?

One application usually lasts for a decent ride (like 30 miles), but if you're planning an epic cycling adventure, throw a little extra in your pocket for a mid-ride re-up. Better safe than sorry, right? If you are finding yourself needing more Butt’r, try our Chamois Butt’r Ultra Balm, made for the most demanding conditions like super hot, sweaty days, humid conditions, or extra long, endurance or ultra adventures.

Can I share it with my buddy?

Our motto is, “Sharing is caring,” but for hygiene reasons, maybe let your buddy get their own tube or jar. It's like a personal space thing, you know? We recommend bringing some extra 9mL sachet minis along to share with friends or reapplication.

Can I apply it before putting on my bike shorts?

Absolutely! Slap it on your skin or throw it directly on your chamois – whatever floats your saddle. The key is to get that sweet protection where it matters most.

Does it come in different flavors? (Kidding!)

Haha, nope, sorry, it's not a snack. But it does come in different versions, like Original, Eurostyle, Her’, Coconut, and Ultra Balm. Find your favorite flavor... I mean, type. Each Butt’r is formulated for unique benefits. Remember, Chamois Butt'r is your secret weapon for a smooth, chafe-free ride. So, lather up and pedal on! 🚴‍♂️✨
