Burritos and crit racing? Yes please!
InstaFund Racing together with Broad Street Breakaway held a fun "all bikes welcome" social ride the evening ahead of the Agency Criterium. Cyclists met at Broad Street Cycles before embarking on a fully guided tour of Victoria and Oak Bay. From riding up to a castle (yes, Victoria has a castle!) to spinning along the waterfront - the ride was a perfect place for InstaFund Riders to connect with cyclists in the Victoria community.
The final stop was Boomtown Burritos for dinner.
Recapping Agency Criterium
Only a few days after the Gastown GP, the Agency Criterium was raced on a beautiful four corner course in front of the Legislature Building in Victoria, BC.
Beautiful weather, and plenty of cheering fans made for a fun weekend of racing. With only two riders lining up to race, InstaFund had to come up with a slightly different race plan to try and take the win. The field had some big names, including current National Champion Holly Simonson, so it was all about trying to maximize the strengths of the InstaFund Racers.
After racing aggressively, Isabella helped to establish a split in the race, narrowing down the final few laps to only 8 riders. From there it all came down to one final sprint into the fast downhill right handed turn to the finish, where Isabella gave it her best shot - finishing 2nd behind Simonson.
